Caroline Drexler
Caroline Drexler is a New York City based violinist. Caroline is an enthusiastic orchestral musician and holds a tenured position with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera. Additionally, she performs across the country with groups such as Chamber Orchestra of New York, Symphony in C, New York Virtuosi, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Savannah Philharmonic, and the Orchestra and Opera of the Bronx. She has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Merkin Hall.
As a recording artist, Caroline can be heard on projects for the Smithsonian Museum and Bungie Games (including the soundtrack for Destiny 2). She has appeared as an NYC Fashion Week performer for designers such as Tory Burch and Dolce and Gabbana.
Caroline enjoys teaching private lessons to students of all ages. As a faculty member of Chattanooga State Community College, she not only taught Music Appreciation courses to students of all ages, but also private violin lessons and appeared as a faculty performer.
Caroline owned and operated a private violin studio of upwards of 30 students from ages 4 to 60 during her time in the Southeast. As a New Yorker, she is a member of the faculty at City Strings & Piano.
Her private teachers include Andrea Bryant, Maria Sampen, Timothy Christie, Don Zimmer, Blair Milton, and Gary Kosloski. She has performed in masterclasses with Mauricio Fuks, Paul Kantor, Alex Kerr, Frank Almond, Lucie Robert, Ilya Kaler, Bill Preucil, and Gerardo Ribeiro. She received her B.A. from Covenant College and graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a Masters in Violin Performance.
